The Greek yard show featuring step performances from Â鶹´«Ã½’s National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations was a fan favorite at CALA-Bash 2025.
“I think the best part of CALA-Bash was definitely the Greek yard show,” sophomore Dwayne McCall said. During the show, students filled Legacy Plaza to cheer on their peers and celebrate the event.
“It’s a really big attraction when it comes to CALA-Bash; a lot of people show up and show out for the yard show,” sophomore Genesis Miller said.
Miller was excited to attend the event and watch the performances from the Greek organizations.
“I had a lot of fun watching. … I had a lot of fun with the music and the choreography” she said. “I’m really excited to see what they do next year.”
Both McCall and Miller attended the vendors’ market.
McCall reflected on his experience as a vendor during last year’s market where he sold hand-made goods along with other freshman honors students. Though he enjoyed the market this year, he noted the differences in the experience.
“Last year I definitely had a lot more fun, I had my own table and I felt more connected with my honors family,” he said.
Miller shared that she enjoyed shopping around at the vendors’ market and felt fulfilled in supporting local small businesses with products for sale.
“My favorite part of CALA-Bash was getting to try all of the food that was being offered,” she siad. “There was a vendor selling fresh fruit juice, so I got a jug of that and it was delicious.”
